DYS Update: June 2010
June 10, 2010 in Digging Your Scene News by Digging Your Scene
A lot has been happening at Digging Your Scene HQ recently. We’ve listened to all your feedback and have been hard at work re-developing the website to give you a host of new features like discussion forums, improved notification settings, activity feeds and profile privacy controls.
Also as part of this re-launch, with the help of Start Select Promotions we organised our first offline DYS Live event up at Creation Studios in Glasgow. This was a music based event, hosted by Clyde 1′s Jim Gellatly and featured a Q&A with a panel of industry experts, followed by an opportunity to network with others that support and contribute to music. We then finished with a live showcase of local bands including Sugar Crisis, You Already Know, Trapped In Kansas, The Red Show. As part of our DYS Live event, all four bands have a fantastic opportunity to record and release one of their tracks in our DYS Live competition. Be sure to check out the bands, listen to their music and vote for your favourite.
We’d like to organise many more of these events for each creative scene: music, film, television, theatre, photography, art, design, fashion, publishing, media and live performance.
With your support and feedback we can work out which creative scenes and where in the country to focus our attention. So if you think your particular scene can benefit from a networking event like this, get in touch.
If you have any comments or suggestions about Digging Your Scene or DYS Live events, please let us know.
We hope to see you all soon.
