Digging Your Scene

As we’re just getting started we thought we’d let you know what has been going on behind the scenes and that we are working on some changes but would love to know what you think of the site so far – perhaps you don’t like the way something looks or functions, you can’t work out how to do something or think we should implement a new feature – please let us know. We are determined to improve the site and make Digging Your Scene the best creative arts community on the web. We have set up a new Scene for general DYS maintenance and requests. Please feel free to join this Scene and post your ideas or problems with the site on the Wire or send a message to the Digging Your Scene webmaster directly:

DYS is all about collaboration. We encourage you to join the Scenes that interest you and to post messages on the Wires if you’re looking for someone with a specific discipline to collaborate with or just want some advice from a fellow Scenester. Use the Wires to start communicating with each other and don’t forget you can send someone a message directly – you may have noticed several Scenesters have started doing this already. If you do collaborate with someone you find through DYS, please let us know as we would love to hear about it and how it’s progressing. We will be setting up a Showcase section for everyone that would like to submit their work and the DYS community will have an opportunity to vote for the acts they want to be featured.

Also, you ought to know that we’re talking to industry professionals across all areas of the creative arts and asking them to provide some insight into the sector they work in. This will span a wide range of topics across all creative sectors, such as design, PR & marketing, publishing, live performance, film production A&R and many more. So if you have any thoughts or specific topics you’d like to hear about, please let us know.

We don’t expect anyone to abuse this site, but we do need to point out that you have the freedom to contact whoever you want and for whatever reason. We ask that you keep it respectful and use the site for what it has been designed for – creative collaboration. If you think someone is abusing the site and posting inappropriate content, please contact us.

Also, did you know that you can manage your email notifications? If you go to your ‘Settings’, under ‘Notifications’ you can choose if you want to activate email notifications for when people message you or request your friendship etc.

And last of all, we’ll leave you with the news that there’s a lot more to come on Digging Your Scene. We are planning some major changes very soon to add new features and functionality. Before we do, we want to know your thoughts and suggestions. Please get in touch and let us know what you think and don’t forget to ask fellow creatives to join the site – the more people we have contributing and networking the more opportunities there will be for collaboration.

Thanks
The DYS team
